August ended with just twelve riding days, a major disappointment. That's five days less than I had the year before (although it was almost the same number of miles, the frequency is more important).
I failed to write about the last two rides of the month in a "timely manner": Tuesday's almost-half-century, and Thursday's quickie. I've put my comments here on the site, but you email subscribers won't receive them (if you're that interested, read them in your browser)..
It would have been thirteen rides for August, but yesterday must be described as "major trauma", there was no chance to ride. I'm writing about that separately.
Now I'm into the last month of the cycling season, and I'd like to finish up with a total of eighty rides. Will I make it? I dunno... but I'm pretty sure I'll at least make it to seventy-five, which is still twenty-six more rides than last season.
This is going to be a tough season to beat next year, but I'm hoping that I'll be on a better bike and have some Rocket 7 shoes by then. Riding with old sneakers on these long rides is killing my feet.
There are no trackbacks.
