"Call the hospitals, please," Corinne and my Mom both asked me.
"Do you think he's been in an explosion or a fire, and his wallet was burned so badly that they can't figure out who he is?"
"But if he was driving on a suspended license, they would have taken it when he was arrested," my Mom replied.
"What about his Military ID (his Dad's in the military), or his credit cards? Besides, if the hospital knows who he is, then they'd know to call us, and if they don't know who he is how are they going to tell me if he's there?"
"Would you please just call the hospitals!," they both asked again.
"Yes, OK."
Of course, he wasn't in the hospital. That would have been too easy.
