This morning I had to be at my parents' place by 5:45 so that I could help my Dad to the car for his first physical therapy appointment.
It turns out that while he does have some arthritis and bone spurs in the hip, that's not the problem. The real problem causing him so much pain is a twisted sacrum which is causing a pinch of the sciatic nerve.
We think his twisted sacrum was caused by falling on his face this summer.
Of course, to be there by 5:45 meant leaving here by 5:25, which meant waking up at 5. Yuck, I hate that. 6:30 is cool, 7 is better (and occasionally later is nice, too), but 5 is downright evil.
Have to do it again tomorrow morning, too.
He's worth it, of course.
Just ignore the whining from the sleepy guy in the corner, he'll be snoring soon anyway.
