Last week I applied to be the editor of the previously-unmanned Frontier category in the Open Directory Project. They approved my application over the weekend.
One of my first requests was to move the category from Computers/Systems/Apple/Macintosh/Development/Languages/Frontier to Computers/Programming/Languages/Frontier. This was approved and done less than an hour ago.
Some people won't like the fact that I stuck with the name "Frontier" instead of "UserTalk," since it's in the "Languages" category. However, the category is not just about the language, it's about anything related to Frontier (Radio, Manila plugins, Conversant, system scripting with Frontier, Frontier documentation, etc., etc.). I couldn't find a better place to put it, and the other editors agreed with my request and explanation.
Now I need to clear out some of the older junk links and add the dozens/hundreds of links that should be in there but are not.
Please use the "Add URL" link at the top of the pages in the directory, to point out any pages that you feel should be in the directory.
(Note to the wife/bookkeeper: this is an unpaid, volunteer position that should take less than an hour of my time per week.)  ;-)
There are no trackbacks.
