Yes, the corporate mindset is far different from consumer/user mindsets.
When I was consulting in BigCo's, a product priced "cheaply" (Mac hardware/software) was frowned upon in favor of high-priced products (min-computer stuff). Instead of arguing with consultant logic 15 years ago in such circumstances, I should have become a VAR and make huge profits in the markup by selling the cheaper products at corporate prices. ;-)
"Perspective is more important than reality." A wise and painful lesson learned by me at A.T. Kearney in years gone bye...
