John VanDyk mentioned today that the TruerWords home page often takes as long as twenty seconds to display in his browser, after the browser has made the request.
This was a surprise, because it almost always loads in two to five seconds for me, and I laod my home page more often than anyone else does. I just tested, and it loaded in 2.274 seconds (according to Mozilla). That includes the time to load all of the images, which is the only way that Mozilla reports this info.
If you're using a browser that can tell you how long it takes a page to laod, please load up my home page and then reply with your results. I'd like to know if others are having the same problem as John.
Incidentally, I just checked and the average rendering time for all of the pages in the weblog (including the archives) is currently 51 ticks (a tick is a sixtieth of a second).
There are no trackbacks.
