The military coup which resulted in Hugo Chavez "stepping down" has fallen apart, and Chavez is back in power. This probably means there will be no changes to the oil production policies in Venezuela. In fact, Chavez is likely to cut back on production in an attempt to harm/annoy the U.S., even though Venezuela deseparately needs the money that would result from increased oil production.
That's pretty good timing, I think, since the discussion on oil (as a result of my first post about Chavez) has died down. ;-)
Seriously, I wonder what it's like to live in a country that's so unstable as to have three governments in forty-eight hours. We're so spoiled to live in stable countriles like the U.S. (and Canada). The U.S.A. may be an incredibly selfish, decadent bully, but there's something to be said for stability.
There are no trackbacks.
