“Remember Dave”

It's been one year since we said goodbye to Dave Bilello. Eric reminded me early this morning.

We still miss him, and we still imitate him at every opportunity. It's a salve for this wound that heals much too slowly.

Thinking about our loss -- his early rest -- still chokes me up, and brings a tear to my eye.

2001 was framed with the death of dear friends and punctuated with 911. What a lousy year.
