One person responded to last night's note to chastise me, as if I'd said that people who take anti-depressants are somehow "bad," and that I "don't get it." I didn't say they're bad, I didn't even imply that, and I do get it: I know these people are being helped (a little) by these drugs.
It was just an observation that Brave New World didn't seem so bizarre now, twenty years after I first read it, and that what I "don't get" is why so many in our society needs to be on anti-depressants.
