Today's ride was spooky because it was so BAD. I simply couldn't get the speed up to where it should have been, and I didn't find out why until the last few miles of the ride.
The spoke that Mystic Cycle Center fixed earlier, was broken! The wheel was now rubbing forcefully against the brakes, which provided noticeable resistance when pedalling.
I was tempted to not cound this ride at all, but I decided that there was no point. It's not as if there's a prize for only having good rides! I made the effort, that's what counts.
Flip asked me, the last time the wheel rubbed the brakes, if I can hear it. I checked this time, and I can not. I don't know why.
Cut the ride short, as soon as I realized what the problem was. I'd already travelled about 18 miles, but I cut off approximately 7 miles of agony.
There are no trackbacks.
