I haven't been riding consistently since the PMC. I was sick for three weeks*, and that really knocked me off my rhythm. So far it hasn't come back.
Still, today's ride was fun. It was the fastest of the year (so far), if a couple miles shorter than my usual training rides.
Assuming we're not flying around in a hurricane, this Saturday is the Tri-State SeaCoast Century, so I'm glad my ride-readiness hasn't gone backwards.
* Note: I'm not the only one that was sick after the PMC. Steve and Jim have both been sick since then, and neither of them have fully recovered yet. The symptoms all seem to stem from post-nasal drip and a sore throat. There's a cough also, sometimes quite violent, but that comes from the drip. Corinne caught it from me about a week after the PMC, and Steve and Jim both shared it with their whole families. What's really odd is that we didn't spend much time together at the PMC (hardly any at all). I wonder if there was some tainted food or drink at the rest stops.
Stats: 33.65 miles (54.17 km) in 1h 44' 40" for an average speed of 19.28 mph (31.05 kph).
