The weather has been perfect all week, and I haven't wasted it.
Tuesday (#8) I finally topped 17 mph. By summertime I'll look back on this and consider that quite pitiful, but right now it feels good.
Wednesday (#9) I rode the regular route, but left out one hill. Three rides in a row is probably my limit this early in the season, and I was exhausted by the end. In the last couple miles I probably averaged 14 mph. On the other hand, this is the day I completed my 200th mile so far this season (still way behind where I should be, but slowly catching up), and I clocked my highest maximum speed so far this year: 47.7 mph. (Last year I hit 49.9 on April 30th.)
I'm telling myself that I won't ride today, but the sunlight coming through the window is pulling my attention outdoors. Mustn't overdo it, but this bike is just so comfortable...
Stats (#8): 28.12 miles (45.27 km) in 1h 37' 3" for an average speed of 17.38 mph (27.98 kph).
Stats (#9): 33.86 miles (54.51 km) in 2h 3' 7" for an average speed of 16.50 mph (26.56 kph).
There are no trackbacks.
