(This is being posted almost a week late.)
Corinne and I are on vacation in Lancaster, PA, again. The traffic down here is quite heavy (always), but most of the roads have wide, hard shoulders and so are very bike-friendly.
I took a back route from the hotel out onto 272 North to Ephratah, left onto 322 West into Brickersville, and left onto 501 South through Lititz and back to the Eden again.
Learned something about this area. The hills are bigger but not generally as steep as what we have at home, and there's a town or village at the top of every one. Brickersville is a good example... it doesn't seem to be much more than a bunch of houses and maybe a general store, at the top of a hill (but maybe I wasn't seeing it all from my bike).
Stats: 36.6 miles (58.92 km) in 2h 1' 47" for an average speed of 18.03 mph (29.03 kph).
There are no trackbacks.
