There's no way I'd get away with buying another bike this year. In fact, I'd bet that just reading this little exchange has been enough to give Corinne a nasty case of IWS (irritable wife syndrome). ;-)

Actually, though, I think my current bike would be fine in the winter, with a brake tuneup. As long as the winter isn't severe like the last one, I think I could get out at least four or five times per month. That won't do much for me, but it certainly won't hurt.

A trainer... yuck. I know from experience that I won't exercise if I don't enjoy it. I absolutely LOVE cycling. I love the wind in my face, the adrenalin rush from flying down hills at crazy speeds, and the excitement of chasing other riders (I call them rabbits). A trainer takes out all of the fun of cycling and leaves nothing but the pain and sweat. No way.

Swimming, though... that's definitely a possibility. Maybe I should think about a membership at the Y.
