“The ads here aren't funding the PMC yet”

Actually, the money won't go towards the cancer research until next year. I won't get a check for these ads until sometime in November at the earliest, which is past the deadline for fundraising this year.

Next year, probably about a monthy before the fundraising starts (officially), I'll announce here on the site that all money raised for ad clicks "for the next six months" will go directly towards my PMC sponsorship.

For now, the dump trucks that deliver all the cash for showing those ads are just going to deliver it my bank account, instead of the PMC. (Of course, the dump truck is virtually empty when it 'dumps' the cash, but that's beside the point.)
