After a full week off the bike because of a cold, I really thought today's ride was going to be tough. In fact, by the end of the day yesterday I could almost hear my fat cells expanding, and I felt like I was having to start my season all over again.
That must have been the psychological side of my addiciton.
It was cold today, never even reached 60... but I know that in a month or two, I'll want to smack myself for saying that. Anyway, I dressed a little extra warm, with a t-shirt under my jersey and I even put on the leg warmers. Don't want to relapse with this head cold!
The ride was short, but not too short, and it ended up being my fastest ever! In fact, I thought I was going to be over 21 mph, but going through downtown Mystic always slows me down too much. Today included two trips through Mystic, and the drawbridge was up for one of them.
Stats: 27.63 miles (44.48 km) in 1h 19' 17" for an average speed of 20.90 mph (33.66 kph).
There are no trackbacks.
