I'm working on an XUL package for Mozilla, and I need a way to monitor a directory for changes: new, edited, or deleted files within the directory.
I happen upon the interface, "nsIFolderListener." (Actually, I found it in my local copy of the XPIDL files from Nigel McFarlane.)
"Hey, no way!" says I. "That sounds perfect!"
So I check out the documentation. How frustrating. It's referring to mail folders in Mozilla's mail component (and probably carries through to Thunderbird).
Still stumped. I don't want to have to write a directory listener from scratch.
