Since we moved into this house and set up the phone line for my business, I've been receiving calls for Joe Grieco. It's been about 27 months now, and they're still calling for him! Joe doesn't live here. This was his number more than three years ago.

Joe is a musician. From what I gather, he's a Jazz piano player and a backup vocalist. According to the gentleman that called for Joe yesterday, he's better than Liberaci ever was! (His exclamation point, not mine.) I have no way of judging the veracity of that statement, since I've never heard him play, but I have found his name on a lot of Jazz CD's. Just search for Joe Grieco on Google, and you'll see for yourself.

At least half of the calls that come in for Joe are restaurant owners that want to book him. They have this number because Joe handed out lots of business cards a few years ago, and they're still in circulation.

Just a few minutes ago, when I was looking for information on Joe (the search I just pointed you to), another restaurant owner called! I told him that I couldn't help him, but explained the whole situation, and asked him to have Joe call me, if he ever reaches him.

Joe, if you're out there, call your old number! I want to talk to you!

Seriously, I'm going to offer to handle his booking. Why not? It can't be much more work than turning everyone away, right?

Update, March 20, 2008: I still get calls for Joe, over seven years later! Read the whole thread, it's funny.
