Fixtures are observations. Artefacts of my own life. Always generalities.
While a fixture may be a person, it's never a specific person; it may be a road, but you'll never find it on a map; it may be an experience, but not a memory. They're always generalities, and they're always personal to me.
They're fairly permanent, "fixed in place."
"Fixtures" is also the name of a (new) section of Truer Words, into which I'm placing the descriptions of some of the fixtures I have observed.
There are no trackbacks.
