Jimmy Lane, morning DJ at WCTY, auctioned off a pair of Kenny Chesney tickets on the air last week, and is donating the $300 they garnered to my PMC fundraising efforts! Wow, that's excellent. Thanks, Jimmy!
A couple of weeks ago, Sarah Lumnah from the Mystic River Press wrote to
the five Mystic-area cyclists who are riding in the PMC, to interview us
for a story. (The PMC sent them our email addresses.) I was the only one to
write back, so the paper did a full page story about my participation (and
training)! She even used one of Steve Davis's pictures
from the site (as seen to the right).
(Unfortunately, the Mystic River Press has no web site, so I can't point to the story.
The story included the URL for my PMC page. Unfortunately, it hasn't resulted in even a single donation. Very frustrating, but this reinforces my growing belief that people will usually only donate if they know you. In the last three years there have been very few exceptions to that rule.
There are no trackbacks.
