I think I was asleep on my feet!  The effects of Friday's ride in the heat were still with me.  Have I told you how well I do in the heat?

Plus, I knew that there was little chance of much sleep in the dorms. You don't know how good you have it sleeping in an air conditioned hotel room being cared for by your loving wife, while the rest of us slugs have to bunk up in stifling hot, cramped rooms with no circulation.  This year, like last year, I dragged my sleeping bag outside and slept on the ground under the stars.  I managed to get a few hours of sleep, and was also able to get an afternoon cat nap under a tree.  Still, I think the money you spend on a hotel room is probably well spent.
