Working through the items on my to-do list, trying to focus on what's important rather than what's urgent, I came to the "start raising funds for the PMC" item.
This is both imporant and urgent.
So, I've started the wheel rolling, as it were, by partially rewriting my How to Sponsor Me in the PMC page.
If you're a potential sponsor, please read it.
If you're broke or just not inclined to donate to one of the most efficient charities in the world, but you still "wish me well" and happen to have a web site of your own, please link to it!
Wait, you don't even know what this "PMC" thing is?
The PMC is the Pan-Mass Challenge. It's a bike ride across Massachusetts, the first weekend in August. All 4500+ riders raise lots of money (last year, more than $24,000,000). The money goes to the Jimmy Fund, which is the charitable arm of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
This is my fifth year in the PMC, and my goal this year is $6600. So far, I've raised $500.
You can read about all of my previous experiences in the PMC. Every year, I write up the full story.
There are no trackbacks.
