On an unrelated Ruby topic:
One aspect I've grown to love and hate is the ease of creating DSLs in Ruby. The trouble is that because you can call a function as a bareword in Ruby, huge swaths of code are written where you can't tell if you're looking at a previously-unknown Ruby keyword, a Ruby method, a Rails method, or a method from some library-provided DSL. It makes reading others' code difficult sometimes.
