Mike and I both enjoyed stopping at Mystic Cycle. We drove over there after
the ride and Mike bought some new mountain bike shoes for his commuter bike.
Very nice.
We also bought you something as a "thank you" for leading us on the ride.
The guys said they would put it in a box with the new components you're
going to install. Be sure to look out for it.
You're right about the ride being hot. I don't know what was worse, trying
to cool off in the nasty fountain, or pouring sticky Gatorade over my head
(I had asked Ellyn to refill one of my bottles with water, but neglected to
ask her to empty the Gatorade that was left in it first). Soon after we
left her place, I squirted a generous helping of water over my head and neck
only to realize that the orange water dripping into my eyes was not just
water. Bummer. When Mike and I stopped at Mystic Cycle, I purchased 3 new
CLEAR water bottles to replace the white ones that hid my mystery fluids.
That won't happen again.
