I'm ready to start the PMC Software Auctions, but I need donors!
I last did this in 2005, when the auctions raised about $2,000. This year I'd like to raise $5,000 (from the auctions, $6600 total). Or more.
The basics: software developers donate copies (licenses) of their software. I put a bunch of software on a disc, and auction the disc on ebay. The winning bidder gets the disc and all of the registration codes. The donor (the programmer or company) gets the registration info for all of the winners.
I keep nothing for myself, all of the money goes to the Pan-Mass Challenge (except for whatever part is taken by eBay and/or Mission Fish, which is eBay's affiliate for charitable auctions).
Are you a developer? Please donate! Details are here.
Not a developer? You can still help by sponsoring my PMC ride directly!
Developer or not, anybody with a web site can help out just by linking to the donations page.
There are no trackbacks.
