Fixture: The Angry Driver

The bane of amateur cyclists and tour riders everywhere, the angry driver is the person behind the wheel of a car or pickup who refuses to share the road with the cyclist.

Angry drivers are known for honking as they pass, yelling at the rider to get out of the road, cutting the cyclist off at intersections, veering towards them from oncoming traffic, intentionally splashing the rider with large puddles, and revving the vehicle's engine when passing on a hill to produce a cloud of noxious smoke. Many angry drivers can only count with one finger.

The true angry driver needs no provocation, they simply believe that bicycles do not belong on their roads.
