It's been a few years since we've seen November snow here in Mystic, CT... in fact, I don't think it's happened since 1993 or 1994. Surprise! It just squeaked in this year on the last day of the month. It wasn't much, only about 1/2 inch, but it still counts as a snowfall.
Here's proof!

(Sorry, the picture's not very clear. It's leaves and grass partially covered with snow.)
The last few winters were extremely mild, it was as if we slipped from Autumn directly into Spring, with nary a shiver between them. This year, we're seeing signs that the "classic New England winter" might not be only historic.
We'll see. I like all seasons, and all weather. I prefer a good hot summer, but a nice snowy, blustery winter can make things very cozy around the house (Corinne would add, "As long as the cupboards are full, and everybody's home.").
