This ridiculous cat, Winnie, is back at the "hospital" again!! This is crazy.
It turns out that when they removed the "sparkle ball" toy from her stomach a couple of weeks ago, they didn't know that she had another one already blocking her small intestine. So, she started eating again, but the food couldn't be fully processed, so she would just "toss it" a few minutes later.
The vet is performing surgery this afternoon to remove the blockage.
I have a solution to prevent her from ever doing this again. Duct tape.
Actually, I think we're just going to have to get rid of all of the small fuzzy toys. They've suddenly become much too expensive and dangerous.
I'm glad this happened, as we didn't have much of anything else to generate negative stress in our lives. (Please note the slightly sarcastic tone.)
I'm afraid that the folks at Macrobyte think I'm the one that died... I've been mostly out of touch since the trip to Burlington. Saturday was recovery from the trip, and Sunday was - well, it was Sunday - and since then we've been dealing with our loss, and with yet another sick cat.
After today, life will start returning to normal. This evening we'll attend a brief memorial service for Roy, and visit with everybody for a little while afterwards.
