Flip just asked me why I haven't been riding my bike this week.
The reason is simple: my bike doesn't float, and it's too hard to pedal under water. It's been raining heavily since Monday afternoon!!
The sun's out now for the first time ever (that's how it feels, anyway), so I'm outta here.
That reminds me... there was a story on NPR yesterday about some rain dance done by the American Indians in the Pacific Northwest (that's about 2500 miles from here, the Indians didn't cause our rain!). They actually billed the local communities for the cost of the "ceremonies" (something about the rain helping the hydro-electric dams), and the communities had paid the bills in previous years. This year, they didn't pay for the first two ceremonies, so the third and largest were cancelled.
Unfortunately I haven't yet found a link for this story. If I do, I'll add it.
