Sluggy's At It Again

Sluggy Freelance is still my favorite comic strip, but I have to admit that it went through a bit of a dry spell for awhile. It's as if Pete Abrams, the mind behind the madness, was more interested in tying up old plot lines for a couple of months than he was in keeping things moving.

In fact, I can't think of a really good plot since the kittens terrorized them all so long ago. Certainly not the "save the witch from the demon/bug" story, and the whole "Torg loses his business and goes to work for his secretary" story line was almost as exciting as reading "Rex Morgan, MD". (Each day was still funny, but the story line was boring.)

Now, though, things are really back to the abnormality that one expects from this strip. In this new story line, Lodoze, a parody of DC's Lobo is a bounty hunter looking for Torg, Riff, and Bun-Bun in an alternate dimension. Today's comic was hilarious, especially if you know anything about Bun-Bun and Lobo (sorry, I mean Lodoze).

(Just start at that page I linked to, above. Read the first strip in this story, then keep clicking on the triangle pointing to the right to read each day in succession.)
