Remember when I mentioned that a Dillingham was being put to death down in Texas? That was back on November 1.
Well, there's very good evidence that we're related. This guy's last meal was huge! Just scroll down the page until you see #233, or the name Dillingham.
I found that completely by accident, I was just looking for a picture with Google.
Why on earth do we need to know this stuff? They put his actual criminal file in by scanning the type-written paper, but they go to the trouble of setting up a real web page with everybody's last meal requests? I'm not sure why, but I think that's gross. And not a little weird.
This was an incredible ride. It's the second time I've done the half-century with the group that leaves from Mystic Cycle Center on Tuesday nights, but really to say that I ride it "with them" is an exaggeration of my performance. "Starting with them" is more accurate.
We had a great group this time, there were twelve of us! Man it looks cool to go through very busy and touristy downtown Mystic with a dozen cyclists in a row, pedaling in unison. Hundreds of people stop what they're doing and watch us go by... it's really a thrill! Anyway, this was the first time there was a woman in the group - and I don't mean the first time for me. According to Rick and some of the other guys, they've never had a woman along, in years of doing this.
You're not going to believe who it was. I still can't believe it.
