Shane and his friend Justin were supposed to go to New Jersey yesterday to see a friend. This was a spur-of-the-moment type of trip, and they were both excited.
They went to Justin's house to pack up some of his stuff, and were going to drive Justin's Porsche.
Unfortunately, they were driving past a parking lot and thought they saw their friend Josh. Justin was looking at the guy in the parking lot instead of at the road, and didn't see the Mustang in front of him come to a stop.
He figured it out quickly, of course... approximately at the same time that the two cars were introduced to each other in a violent way.
I saw the Porsche today, and it's a total loss. Worse yet, he didn't have collision insurance, so it's his total loss.
Justin has a sore neck, Shane's ribs are aching, and the guy they hit (who's now wearing a neck brace, of course) is probably going to sue.
The only good thing to come out of this is that Shane is finally getting his car back on the road. Without it, he'll be stuck at home indefinitely, since Justin has been his primary mode of transportation for weeks.
