Mozilla 0.9.8 was released last night.

There are some nice new features included for DHTML developers. If you're not a developer, then the main reason to upgrade from 0.9.7 is stability and speed. DHTML performance regressed a little, but overall browser performance has improved greatly.

In my experience, the biggest improvements are in form submission and displaying pages with lots of form elements.

They're hoping for a 1.0 release in a little over two months. All of the work between now and then is supposed to be related to fixing bugs improving performance.

This makes three people that have said something nice (er... sorta) about me today. Go mark your calendar.

Even more important is that he's giving me credit for ruining his day by addicting him to Sluggy.

It's more proof that public writing spaces give you the power to mold men's minds. Like cheese. Or old bread. Or that container of casserole that was shoved to the back of your fridge and forgotten until it rose up to lead the rest of your food in a rebellion.

Art and Sarah are now at the hospital, she's in labor.

My Dad called and asked me to say a prayer for them... "and Art and Sarah too". I'm excited about having a new neice/nephew, but I don't think anybody is (or could be) as excited as my parents are. My Mom was up at 2 AM this morning, just hoping that Sarah was "ready to go".

Everybody else probably knew this already: command-clicking on an item in MacOS X's dock reveals that item in the Finder. The folder that contains the item is opened, and the item you clicked on is selected (highlighted).

I love little tricks like that.

Allison Ella Pena was born tonight. I don't have all the details like time and weight, but I know she's nineteen inches long and weighs somewhere between seven and eight pounds. Not a big baby.

I'm an uncle!

I talked to Art and Sarah on the phone. Art sounded... um... a little dazed. Sarah just sounded very happy. The happiest I remember her sounding, in fact.
