Stayed up until 3:30 AM upgrading the software on Macrobyte's servers, only to have nothing work when I was done.

Tried to switch back to the backups, but the network crashed. No machine could transfer files to any other machine faster than about 500 Kilobits per second.

For the first time in my life, I gave up and just went to bed. i was already sick, and by this point the room was swimming around me.

The worst part is the missed deadlines this is causing. JVD, DS, BP, and CV are all going to be irritated with me the next time I talk to them, but I did my best.

Note that the last problem -- which finally caused me to give up -- was the network. The hardware is the enemy.

Anyway, other than a little bit of time this morning to reset every machine on the network and get everything back up and running, I've slept all day.
