Just a quick rant: I'm sick of all the advertising on NPR. A couple of years ago NPR sounded very different than it does now. They couch the ads in terms of "mentioning the sponsors", but it's become a little ridiculous.
My local station is WNPR.
Have any other NPR listeners noticed the same thing, in other markets?
Shucks. Dave Winer said something really nice about me this morning on his web site.
We did have a great phone call, but I can't possibly be the only nice person he's spoken with on the phone lately. ;-)
Most of the regulars around here know that our finances have been pretty bad for the last couple of years, other than a couple of bright spots. I've generally avoided the subject for fear of scaring people (like potential customers that might read my site).
Besides, this is my place for talking about what's personally important to me, not just business.
Things seem to be just starting to turn around. Finally.
Corinne has been truly wonderful. There have been some dark moments (those "ouches" that show up in every marriage, especially when there are financial troubles), but usually they were caused by my own mulish attitude.
It's good to be loved by (and to love, and make a life with) an amazing woman. Nothing in this life could top it, and I don't believe there's a more perfect match for me than her.
