Greg Pierce posted an excellent little article on why Conversant's XML-RPC interface has always used structs as the sole input parameter.
UserLand is working on a new XML-RPC API for weblogs that will, finally, use structus and be extendible. Greg's piece is in response to Dave's comments on this topic.
I just made an installable version of Conversant available to a couple of developers. These guys both have time-sensitive reasons to need early access to the software.
It feels like I just let my daughter out on her first date. "Fly, little bird, be free! No, wait, come back, I was only kidding, I don't think you're ready yet!"
It had to happen sooner or later, and a small starting group like this will be good for those of us (mainly Brian, Flip, Greg, and myself) who have been working on it for years without letting others see the code.
Oh boy. The times, they are a changin'.
My brother (Jed) would definitely like this this guy and his "pet" snakes.
My mother would flee the house immediately, screaming and temporarily insane. :-)
Thanks to John vanDyk for linking to the realities of keeping large pythons, which led me to the story about "Baby."
I should tell the story about Jed and I, and the roadkill snake we brought Mom when we were both little. That's one of those stories that is never going to die.
