Jim Roepcke is in Arizona visiting Steve and Jodi Ivy.

Steve and Jodi have lived there for less than a year. None of them have been to the Grand Canyon yet, and I'm trying to talk them into making the trip this weekend. Jim's from Canada/California, and will probably never have a better chance of seeing it than he does this weekend.

I've been twice, and there's one thing I know about the GC: you can't talk about it with people who haven't been there before. Words don't do it. Photos never come close. No place in the world has affected me the way the Grand Canyon did.

I had to resort to, "If you trust me, then you'll at least consider it. You won't regret it."

Anybody else been? Post a message, I'd love to see if you can do a better job of talking them into it than I have.
