We needed some additional flexibility when formatting dates in Conversant. After thinking about it for awhile, I decided to completely reproduce a standard C function in UserTalk, as it offers near-complete flexibility.

I'm very pleased with the results, and I don't mind (much) that I wasn't working on documentation. A client has an immediate need for it, and quite a few users have requested it, and in fact I promised Flip two years ago that I'd do it. Now it's done.
