There's a line of thunderstorms headed our way, and severe weather alerts have been posted for most of Connecticut.
In the last 20 minutes the weather has changed from bright and sunny (for the first time in four days) to very, very dark and breezy. It's quiet, too: all the birds are suddenly silent, and the chattery squirrels have hung "Closed for the Storm" signs on their nut-shop doors.
"I hope we don't lose power again," he said, knowing it was a complete waste of breath.
