Greg Pierce is walking (and pushing a stroller) in a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society called Light the Night.
Greg's a Lymphoma survivor, so this has some special meaning for him.
He's looking for sponsors, "no amount is too small."
In spite of the fact that I'm still trying to reach my $2500 minimum for the PMC, I'm kicking in a little.
Cancer is evil. Do what you can to help.
Last week I mentioned that my cousin Kim is about to have a baby
, the only good thing in a rash of disease and calamity that seemed to afflict my extended family last week.
So now I'm pleased to announce the birth of Amber Kathleen Conover at 7:01 AM this morning, to Kim and Dave Conover. She was exactly 9 pounds, and all three are doing well.
Congratulations, Kim and Dave. :-)
My Uncle Jim is almost completely surrounded in females! Out of two children and six grandchildren, there's only been one boy (his daughter Tiffany's son, born last year). They all live in what we call 'the Dillingham compound' in New Hampshire.
Ok, that's not quite fair. I should just say that the boys are totally outnumbered by the girls, 4 to 8. Uncle Jim, Josh, Jachin and Dave for the gentlemen, and Aunt Dorrie, Kimberlee, Cassie, Elena, Amber, Tiffany, Eden and Mariah for the ladies. (Wow, that's quite the clan...)
