As you can see from my stats, good intentions alone are not enough to raise your ride and mile count for the year. I had every intention of continuing to ride regularly all through November and December, but I've only managed nine rides and 257 miles since November 1st.

Still, any time in the saddle is better than nothing, and nothing is exactly what I've done from November to February every other year of my life.

Today (Friday, not Saturday when I'm finally writing this up...) I did twenty five miles, and I really felt the cold the whole way. It was the warmest day of the last week (when it wasn't raining, snowing, or sleeting), at a balmy 43 (6 degrees for you metric types), and I decided it was "now or never."

How cool is it that I've ridden 99 times this year, and put in over 3700 miles? Man, I love that. I love riding.

Still hoping to reach 100 before the end of the year: that's when I'm finally going to say this season is over. (If I manage any rides in January or February, I'll list them as part of next season.)

Stats: 25.74 miles (41.44 km) in 1h 19' 40" for an average speed of 19.38 mph (31.21 kph).

(Oh, the stats here on the site have been screwed up for the last couple weeks. I wasn't paying attention, and was recording my weight in the wrong location, so it was using a default number instead. Duh. No, my weight didn't jump from 249 to 265! 255, yes, and I'm ok with that. If it were 265 you'd find me at the doctor having my mouth stapled shut. ;-)
