I can't start the auction tonight as I had planned.

The way it works with non-profits like the Pan-Mass Challenge is that you specify, when setting up the auction, that some portion of the proceeds will be donated to the non-profit you choose. This activates the Mission Fish system. They track your auction, charge your credit card the selling price as soon as the auction item is sold, and then pay the non-profit.

All this donated software is going to sell for at least $2,000. Hopefully a lot more. But there's the problem... I can't afford to have that much charged to my account!

I really don't know what to do. I've dreamed up a couple of options, but neither of them are very good. The only idea I've come up with any real chance of success is to ask Mission Fish to wait a few days to charge me. Then I could have the buyer's payment available to cover what Mission Fish takes.

The folks at Mission Fish have an email from me, already. If they respond as quickly as they claim, then I'll know more early tomorrow morning.
