Allison Ella Peña

My niece Allison was born at 10:30 PM on February 5. She weighed seven pounds ten ounces, and was nineteen inches long.

She has Dillingham blood: she won't be that small for long.

For those who don't know the family: Art and Sarah are Allison's parents.

My Mom (Allison's grandmother!) has pictures, too.

(Click on the pictures to see larger images.)

Allison and Sarah
I caught her sneezing, and joked with Art and Sarah that I'd use this picture for bribery-prevention. "She'll have something on me someday, and I'll use this to keep her quiet."

Allison and her little Daddy
Not bad for hospital lighting and no flash! Allison's and Art's colors are perfect, but the focus isn't. Unfortunatley, the overhead lights put a big shadow on Art's face. (You're here to see the baby anyway, right?)

Allison with her Uncle Seth

Let's just say Allison doesn't get her pretty face from her Uncle.

I held Allison for about an hour and a half, and she slept — like a baby — for most of that time. My friends (with babies) sometimes call me the sandman.

Mother & Daughter
Sarah's going to be a good mom. I'm told that her active labor lasted only about four hours, and Allison was born just eight hours after her water broke? (Our Mom was that way, too.)

Allison Ella Peña
She's a pretty baby, isn't she? :-)
