My Miss Kim lilacs put on quite a show this year. This was definitely their best year ever: the scent was more intoxicating, and the blooms more plenteous and vibrant than any previous year.

Why, yes, my lawn does need to be mown. Thanks for noticing. |

This is what I mean by 'vibrant' and 'plenteous.' Every bundle was this way. |

Stop it. |

No, seriously, stop it. Smelling your computer screen isn't going to do you any good, and it just makes you look really silly. |

Can you see the spider web in this shot? The lady of the house wasn't nearly as cooperative with the photographer as Miss Kim was. Every time I set up a shot, she'd duck behind a leaf or sit right on top of the lens. |

If you know the scent of Miss Kim, but can't smell the flowers when you see a picture like this, you need to get your eyes checked. Or your nose. Or something. Definitely need to have something checked! |

Slightly more extreme closeup. Color's not quite as good, though. |

What's shaped like a pine cone, smells like heaven, and is softer than a baby's bottom? (Hey, how lame was that?!) |
